Why Meisai exists

Productive work breaks when its context is scattered

The problem is not a lack of apps. It is the gap between what you plan, what you save, what you learn, and what you eventually need to act on.

01

One workflow is split across too many tools.

Tasks, notes, saved pages, timers, learning plans, projects, and job applications often live in separate systems that cannot show the full picture.

Meisai connects them. The next action and its supporting context stay inside one browser workspace.

02

Saving information is not the same as understanding it.

Bookmarks and screenshots accumulate quickly, but they rarely preserve why something mattered or help you find the useful part later.

Meisai makes saved material usable. Read, highlight, comment, tag, search, and organize it by meaning.

03

Learning and career progress lose their history.

Resources, projects, resume files, applications, and interview notes become disconnected just when you need to show what you know.

Meisai preserves the progression. Learning paths lead into projects, job tracking, interviews, and resume versions.

04

The browser supports work and interrupts it.

Your most useful tools are often several clicks away while distracting websites are always one click away.

Meisai works at the point of need. Use quick actions, the command palette, Pomodoro, and focus blocking without leaving the browser.

The Meisai approach

Capture. Connect. Focus. Grow.

Meisai brings the full productivity loop into your browser. Saving an article, planning focused work, learning a skill, and preparing for an interview can remain part of one coherent system.

  1. 1
    Capture what matters

Save pages, notes, screenshots, links, code, tasks, and ideas the moment they appear.

  2. 2
    Organize it naturally

Find content through Notes, Read Later, Knowledge Vault, Calendar, Learning Hub, or one universal command palette.

  3. 3
    Act with focus

Plan the day, start a Pomodoro, block distractions, and keep the next meaningful action visible.

  4. 4
    Turn progress into growth

Connect learning resources, projects, job applications, interview details, and resume versions.

Detailed feature guide

Every feature has a clear job

The workspace is organized around five practical needs: planning work, building knowledge, directing learning, managing career progress, and shaping a workspace that fits you.

01

Plan and focus

Keep the day visible and move into focused action without navigating between separate tools.

Home dashboard

See what needs attention now.

Bring today's focus, tasks, notes, habits, weather, upcoming events, countdowns, calendar, and Pomodoro into every new tab.

Meisai Today's Focus widget
Start with one priority

Today's Focus keeps the most important outcome visible above the rest of the dashboard.

Keep the day connected

Tasks, habits, calendar items, notes, and countdowns update their matching widgets.

  • One clear priority for the day
  • Tasks, habits, notes, events, and countdowns
  • Weather, Pomodoro, calendar, and quick actions

Calendar

See commitments and routines in one schedule.

Calendar brings tasks, habits, events, and deadlines together so a plan does not hide in separate lists. Switch between daily and weekly periods and choose the view that best fits the amount of information.

  • Daily and weekly periods
  • List and card views
  • Add, view, edit, complete, and delete

Command palette

Reach the whole workspace with Ctrl K.

Search saved content, navigate features, create tasks or notes, open URLs, and search the web from any Meisai page.

Universal Command Palette connecting create, capture, navigation, URLs, and web search
  • Contextual results as you type
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Optional web, bookmark, and history suggestions

Focus system

Protect attention inside the browser.

Start preset or custom Pomodoro sessions and temporarily block only the websites you choose while focus is active.

  • Persistent play and pause state
  • Custom timer and progress ring
  • Controlled five minute breaks
02

Capture and understand

Preserve useful information with enough structure to find it, understand it, and reuse it later.

Notes

Capture a thought without interrupting the work around it.

Create clean color coded notes, format the content, attach a screenshot, copy or pin a note, and change its color later. Notes stay available from the Home widget, dashboard quick actions, command palette, and the floating Meisai Helper.

Fast capture

Open Notes from the places where ideas occur instead of navigating away from the current task or webpage.

Consistent everywhere

The note color and content remain synchronized with the Notes widget on Home, including screenshot previews.

  • Color coded cards
  • Rich text formatting
  • Screenshot attachment
  • Pin, copy, edit, and delete

Knowledge Vault

Build a usable library, not a pile of saved items.

Capture text, links, code, images, screenshots, and notes as visual cards. Each entry can retain its title, tags, source, preview, and the context that explains why it matters.

Knowledge Vault with note, code, image, link, and tagged visual cards
Problem solved

Reference material is scattered across tabs, downloads, screenshots, and note files.

What you can do

Search by title, content, or tag. Pin important cards, edit entries, copy content, open sources, and view images at full size.

  • Mixed content cards
  • Tags and search
  • Screenshot capture
  • Image previews
  • Pin and edit

Read Later and Reading Mode

Save less passively. Read more deliberately.

Read Later manages the queue of articles you intend to revisit. Reading Mode opens the full article in a focused layout designed for comprehension.

Reading Mode with Sepia theme, reading controls, highlights, and comment note editor
Read Later

Search saved articles, see reading time, track progress, mark items as read, and return to the original source.

Reading Mode

Adjust width, font size, and theme while preserving useful images, tables, links, and code. Highlight text in four colors and attach comment notes to exact passages.

  • Full article view
  • Five themes
  • Reading progress
  • Highlights
  • Comment notes
03

Learn and build

Turn an open ended learning goal into a path, useful resources, and visible project evidence.

Learning Hub

Know what to learn and where to continue.

Choose a built in roadmap.sh path or create a named custom roadmap. Keep supporting resources searchable by topic, type, level, and tag instead of collecting an unstructured list of tutorials.

Why it mattersYour roadmap shows the direction. Your saved resources support the next step. Both remain available from the Learning Hub and Home menu.
  • Built in and custom roadmaps
  • Named custom links
  • Resource search and filters

Project Tracker

Turn learning into evidence you can present.

Save complete project details, status, working links, and supporting notes. Open a project card to review the full record and update it as the work develops.

Why it mattersProjects become reusable proof for portfolios, resumes, and interviews instead of disappearing into old folders and browser tabs.
  • Planned, active, and completed states
  • Clickable project links
  • Full view and editing
04

Manage career progress

Keep opportunities, interview preparation, and tailored resume files connected to the work they support.

Job Tracker and interviews

Know where every opportunity stands.

Keep the company, role, job link, application date, and status together. When the status becomes Interview, Meisai automatically reveals stage specific preparation fields.

Problem solved

Applications and follow ups are split between spreadsheets, emails, calendars, and memory.

Interview details

Track stage, round number, date, time, mode, notes, and result from HR through technical and final rounds.

  • Wishlist to accepted workflow
  • Clickable job link
  • Interview stages
  • Round details

Resume Versions

Use the right resume without losing previous work.

Save separate resume versions with identifying details, private notes, and exported PDF or Word files. View or edit a saved version without overwriting the documents used for earlier roles.

Problem solved

Generic resumes underperform, while loosely named files make tailored versions difficult to identify.

What you retain

Keep the role specific version, its files, supporting note, and revision history available for later applications.

  • Multiple versions
  • PDF and Word files
  • Notes
  • View, edit, and delete
05

Shape the workspace

Keep the tools you use visible, hide the ones you do not need, and choose an appearance that remains comfortable throughout the day.

Customizable Home widgets

Let the dashboard follow your priorities.

Home is not a fixed collection of cards. Choose which widgets are visible, resize them, and reorder the layout around the information you check most often.

Show or hide

Remove secondary widgets from view without deleting the information they contain.

Resize and reorder

Change card size and position so planning, reading, habits, notes, or focus can receive more space.

  • Visible widget controls
  • Flexible card sizes
  • Drag to reorder
  • Saved layout preferences

Themes and wallpapers

Change the atmosphere without changing the workflow.

Choose a Meisai theme and built in wallpaper while the interface keeps its spacing, legibility, translucent cards, and familiar controls.

  • Frosted Glass as the default theme
  • Violet Mist as the default wallpaper
  • Theme aware text, buttons, filters, and card surfaces

Always within reach

Meet the Meisai Helper

A small, movable edge toolbar follows you across supported websites. Save a page, enter Reading Mode, capture a screenshot, or open Notes without breaking your flow.

  • Collapsible, draggable, and edge-snapping
  • Remembers its position and theme
  • Designed to stay out of the way

What can I manage with Meisai?

Meisai brings tasks, calendars, habits, notes, saved reading, knowledge, focus sessions, learning paths, projects, jobs, and resumes into one connected workspace.

How does the command palette work?

Press Ctrl/Cmd + K from any Meisai page to find saved content, navigate features, create entries, open a URL, or search the web.

What is the difference between Read Later and Reading Mode?

Read Later organizes articles you want to return to. Reading Mode presents an article in a focused layout with themes, progress, highlights, and comment notes.

Why does Meisai need access to webpages?

Supported-page access powers the visible Meisai Helper, user-requested Reading Mode, screenshot capture, and user-configured website blocking. See the support page for a permission-by-permission explanation.

How does website blocking work?

Add distracting websites in Settings. Meisai blocks those sites while a Pomodoro focus session is active and supports controlled five-minute breaks.

Which browsers are supported?

Meisai currently supports Firefox, Google Chrome, and Brave. The same core workspace and browser tools are available across all three.
