Overview
Meisai is a browser extension that adds a personal workspace for planning, focus, reading, knowledge capture, and career tracking. Available on Firefox and Edge. This policy explains what information the current version handles, where it is stored, and how you control it.
In short: Meisai does not sell data, does not run advertising, and does not include third-party analytics or telemetry.
Data Meisai handles
Depending on which features you use, Meisai may handle:
- A local display name and profile image.
- Tasks, notes, habits, calendar events, countdowns, projects, job applications, interview details, resumes, and learning resources.
- Saved page URLs, extracted article content, screenshots, images, links, text, and code you add to the Vault.
- Reading progress, highlights, and comment notes.
- A manually selected weather location.
- Optional browser bookmarks or history, used only for local command-palette suggestions when you enable that setting.
How data is stored
Persistent content is stored locally on your device in IndexedDB. Lightweight interface preferences (theme, wallpaper, sidebar state, helper position) use the browser's local extension storage. Meisai does not operate a server that receives this workspace data.
Network requests
Meisai makes network requests only for features that need them: loading a page for Reading Mode or Read Later, opening a saved link, retrieving current conditions from Open-Meteo for the weather widget, submitting feedback through the linked form, or sending a query to your selected web search provider. Those destinations process requests under their own privacy policies.

| Bookmarks & history (optional) | Adds local command-palette suggestions only if you turn this on. Each source can be disabled independently. |
Meisai is not injected into chrome:// pages, browser-store pages, or other protected internal surfaces.
Sharing, advertising, and analytics
Meisai does not sell your information, share it for advertising, use it for personalized advertising, or include third-party analytics or telemetry. Locally stored content is not accessible to anyone but you.
Your control and retention
Data stays on your device until you edit it, delete it, clear it from Settings → Privacy & Data, remove the extension, or clear your browser's site data. You can export a full backup as JSON and restore it later in merge or replace mode, and delete individual data categories without clearing everything else.
Security
Meisai uses Manifest V3, ships all executable code inside the extension package, validates every record before it is saved or read, and sanitizes rich note and reader content before rendering. External connections use HTTPS where the destination supports it.
Changes to this policy
Material changes to this policy or to Meisai's data practices will be reflected here and in the relevant browser-extension store listing. The effective date above will be updated.
